My name is Todd Backus, I am the new president of the BCIT ASHRAE Student Chapter.
Prior to attending the mechanical engineering degree program at BCIT, I worked as an HVAC designer and installer, primarily for custom residential buildings. I completed a red seal ticket as a sheet-metal journeyman in 2009. I sat on the board of directors of the Thermal Environmental Comfort Association (TECA) for two years where I worked on several courses aimed at improving trade practises.
