TELUS Garden Buildings Presentation

Hello!

Thank you Goran Ostojic, Vice President of Western Canada, and Kenneth Ng, Senior Mechanical Engineer, from Integral Group for their presentation for the TELUS Garden buildings at BCIT on April 18, 2016.

Darrell Li (BCIT ASHRAE President)

Goran and Kenneth provided great insights to Vancouver's greenest office tower and explained their process to achieve LEED Platinum certification for the office buildings. The TELUS Garden project cost $750 million Canadian dollars and some of the key design highlights include: radiant heating and cooling, high performance triple glazed windows, displacement ventilation system, solar PV arrays on the roof, rain-water collection for utilization for flushing of toilets, and a unique district waste-to-energy system which provides 80% of the building's heating and cooling demands from the TELUS data center across the street.

Thank you for all the students who came out to listen and learn from Goran and Kenneth. Please keep an eye out on this website and on your e-mails for upcoming events.
